You will read blueprints, adjust feeds and speeds, measure parts with micrometers and calipers, inspect finished parts, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Strong communication with coworkers and supervisors is essential.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate Blanchard grinding machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and technical drawings.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
• Identify and report defective or non-conforming parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Blanchard grinding machines.
• Determine machine setup based on job prints.
• Adjust machine settings, feeds, and speeds.
• Load and feed materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and technical drawings.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
• Identify and report defective or non-conforming parts.
• Complete production and shop-floor paperwork.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Participate in production meetings as needed.
