Job Title: Vice President

Job Description:

Blackstone is seeking an insurance business development professional to support the broader fundraising and client relationship management efforts within the third-party insurance LP channel. The responsibilities of this professional will include:

  • Assisting and preparing the team to engage with insurance clients and prospects
  • Mapping and researching the addressable insurance client universe
  • Serving as a product generalist across Blackstone to deliver insurance-specific solutions to LPs
  • Creating internal and external materials to assist in the organization and growth of business development within the insurance channel
  • Coordination of responses for insurance client investment inquiries
  • Establishing strong working relationships across investment, legal, operations and finance teams firmwide to deliver the best of Blackstone to insurance clients
  • Learning the fundamentals of insurance asset management and opportunity to engage with clients directly over time

Qualifications:

  • Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:
  • 5+ years of experience within Investment Banking, Investment Sales, or Asset Management
  • Strong experience across Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Team player willing to collaborate with colleagues across the Firm
  • Strong project management skills and organization
  • Ability to effectively communicate and differentiate the Blackstone value proposition and role it can serve in general insurance portfolio construction
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with enthusiasm to learn and take initiative to get projects done
  • Self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and focus on delivering results

Expected annual base salary range:

$175,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
