Selectek, Inc. in Florida is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to lead design initiatives and optimize components for reliability and manufacturability.

You will apply engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test mechanical equipment; read blueprints; collaborate with engineers; evaluate proposals for feasibility and cost; and specify components to meet performance specs. On-site role based in Crawfordville.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a P.E. License.
• 5+ years of design engineering experience.
• Proficiency in design optimization, design reviews, and prototyping.
• Experience with CAD/CAE software, including Inventor or SolidWorks.

Responsabilités

• Applies engineering methods to design, analyze, test, and improve mechanical equipment.
• Reads blueprints and technical drawings to support fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborates with engineers to implement procedures and resolve system issues.
• Evaluates proposals and specs to assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance needs.
• Specifies components to meet performance requirements and design intent.
• Investigates equipment failures and recommends corrective actions.

Required:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• P.E. License
• Minimum 5+ years experience with Design engineering.
• Design optimization. Design review. Mechanical engineering. Prototyping.
• Engineering/analysis. CAD software. Computer-aided engineering (CAE) software. (I.E. Inventor, Solidworks)

Essential Functions:

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Confers with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
• Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
• Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
• Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
