Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot ASIC miners used for Bitcoin mining.
• Monitor equipment alerts, temperatures, airflow, connectivity, and performance.
• Respond to issues and escalate when needed.
• Diagnose hardware and software problems and perform repairs.
• Install and update monitoring software and firmware as approved.
• Track parts, repair tickets, and warranty returns.
• Document maintenance and repairs; provide handoff updates.
• Coordinate with support resources for unresolved issues.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

Job Summary

Blockchain Power Corp. operates Bitcoin mining facilities in West Virginia and is seeking dependable, technically curious Bitcoin Mining Technicians to support day-to-day mining operations.

This role is responsible for helping keep mining equipment operational by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, completing routine maintenance, and communicating clearly across shifts. Candidates with experience in computer hardware, networking, electronics, technical repair, or equipment maintenance may be a strong fit for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot ASIC miners used for Bitcoin mining.
• Monitor equipment alerts, temperatures, airflow, connectivity, and overall performance.
• Respond to equipment issues and elevate concerns when additional support is required.
• Diagnose hardware and software problems and complete repairs or component replacements within assigned training and authorization.
• Install and update approved monitoring software, firmware, and related hardware.
• Track equipment, replacement parts, repair tickets, and warranty returns.
• Document maintenance activities, equipment issues, repairs, and completed work.
• Provide clear updates and documentation during shift handoffs.
• Monitor network connectivity and coordinate unresolved issues with appropriate support resources.
• Report electrical, cooling, or other facility-related concerns to the Site Lead and qualified specialists.
• Follow established safety, security, and equipment-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Arrive prepared for assigned shifts, accurately record working time, and communicate promptly regarding attendance or coverage issues.

Required Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, networking, electronics, or mechanical troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing technical issues.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
• Ability to follow written procedures and accurately document completed work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers across different shifts.
• Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to the team.
• Willingness to learn specialized Bitcoin mining equipment and follow established safety procedures.
• Ability to consistently report to the assigned worksite and work the agreed schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in IT support, computer repair, networking, electronics, or equipment maintenance.
• Technical-school coursework, an associate degree, or a related degree in IT, computer science, cybersecurity, or another technical field.
• Previous experience working in a data center, industrial facility, or Bitcoin mining operation.

Work Environment / Schedule

• This is an on-site equipment-focused position within a facility that operates 24/7.
• Employees will work an assigned shift, which may include evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.
• The position involves hands-on equipment maintenance, moving equipment, and responding to operational issues throughout the shift.
• Specific scheduled days, physical requirements, and working conditions will be reviewed during the hiring process.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
• Screening results will be reviewed in accordance with company policy and applicable law, including applicable protections for certified medical-cannabis patients.
