BISTRO SUPERVISOR
The Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma Downtown is seeking a Bistro Supervisor to join our team. The Bistro Supervisor ensures a superior guest experience by efficiently supervising Bistro operations while maximizing hotel profitability.

SCHEDULE:

• Variable schedule; Must be available mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

RATE OF PAY:

• $19.03 to $20.63 per hour/DOE plus shared tips.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of:

• Food and beverage products, preparation and handling techniques.
• Principles of providing customer service including need assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Health codes, food sanitation and safety practices.
• Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Advanced knowledge of Point of Sales systems, Micros preferred.

• Make decisions guided by established policy and procedures.
• Analyze activities and information to arrive at logical conclusions and recommendations.

• Present a professional appearance, wear appropriate uniform and slip resistant footwear according to the standards of the position and company policy.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a food and beverage environment.
• Supervisory experience in a food and beverage environment preferred.

Licenses:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, grasp, lift and carry exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Position requires ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours to move around bistro area transporting food items on a continuous basis throughout shift or stand behind front desk for up to 8 hours, visual acuity to analyze written information and view computer terminal and ability to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word.
