RESTAURANT SERVER

Associates are paid weekly!

Summary

Ensure prompt and courteous service of food and beverages to guests.

Essential Functions
  • Have working knowledge of specials and standard menu items, their ingredients, and their prices.
  • Receive and serve meal orders.
  • Display knowledge of food preparation.
  • Market, sell, and serve all menu items.
  • Complete side work, including stocking, filling salt & pepper shakers, folding napkins, wiping down counters and tables, etc.
  • Stock areas with clean linen, glassware, and silverware.
  • Respond to the needs and requests of guests.
  • Follow sanitation and sanitary food handling standards at all times.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, including cross-training.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Treat others with respect and behave positively to promote teamwork.
Physical Description
  • Lift and carry food trays, beverage containers, glass racks, etc., frequently weighing 5-75 lbs, with a maximum of 100 lbs.
  • Stand/walk up to two miles per day on various surfaces.
  • Reach/overhead extension to pull items down.
  • Pushing and pulling handcarts weighing 5-75 lbs, maximum 100 lbs.
  • Repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise.
  • Use of all types of kitchen equipment (oven, slicer, steamer, etc.).
  • Adherence to safety standards and procedures, including use of hearing, eye, and hand protection.
