Job summary

Prime Group is seeking a Bistro Cook for The Bistro at Courtyard by Marriott in Marathon, FL. You will prepare consistent, well-presented dishes and keep your station clean, stocked, and food-safe while supporting the kitchen team during every service.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in a professional kitchen, solid knife skills, and a calm, organized approach in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a professional kitchen; breakfast/line/high-volume preferred.
• Solid knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking methods.
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain it in time.
• Calm, organized approach on a busy line; pride in every plate.
• Team player with ability to follow directions in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays availability.
• Experience in upscale or full-service resort hospitality (Hilton/Marriott) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items to recipe, portion, and presentation standards
• Set up, stock, and break down your station for each service
• Keep the line moving during busy periods and communicate clearly with the team
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and storage standards, and keep the kitchen inspection-ready
• Check deliveries, rotate product, and minimize waste
• Taste and check every plate before it goes out
• Support banquet and room service production as needed
• Report equipment or supply issues to the Sous Chef promptly
