Qualifications

• Current applicable nursing experience with leadership and preceptor/educative responsibilities.
• Advanced nursing skills with psycho-social knowledge and problem resolution.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to work varied hours with a flexible schedule.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as charge RN, directing patient care and supervising unit operations.
• Primary clinical focus (70-80%).
• Evaluate delivery of care, patient classification, staffing, and scheduling.
• Review patient care records and conduct chart audits.
• Provide staff education and orientation; supervise nursing staff.
• Hire, terminate, counsel, and evaluate staff with department director.
• Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date with evidence-based practice.
• Investigate patient complaints with department director/patient advocate.
• Monitor daily productivity and manage staffing levels.
• Promote evidence-based practice and adoption of new care standards.
