Birth Registrar/Newborn Hearing Screener; this dual-role position involves accurately registering newborns in the hospital or clinic database and conducting newborn hearing screenings. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate documentation of birth information and supporting early detection of hearing impairments, which is essential for the health and development of newborns.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Minimum education/training (degrees, certifications, and licenses) necessary to enter the job. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree or certification in healthcare, medical administration, or audiology preferred).
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in Obstetrics preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of newborn hearing screening procedures and equipment (OAE, ABR) preferred.
