• 1 year experience in health information management

• Skill sets in regards to answering telephones, balancing figures, inputting data into computer programs, maintaining filing systems, maintaining logs, updating patient charts including documentation and proofreading.
• Maintains work area according to OSHA and NIOSH standards.
• Skill sets in regards to equipment including but not limited to calculators, fax machines, laser printer, personal computer, photocopier and word processor.
• Software mastery to include but not limited to: State of Texas Birth Certificate Registry System, 3M Softmed chart view, Chart Scan, IDX, Allscripts and additional software as needed.
