Job summary

Meeker Memorial is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Birth Center to provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care. Responsibilities include monitoring, aiding with labor and delivery, and educating families on newborn care.

The role requires a Minnesota nursing license, BLS, and L&D/postpartum experience. The RN will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team, maintain precise records, and deliver compassionate, nonjudgmental care in a rural hospital

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Minnesota nursing license in good standing.
BLS credential mandatory; ACLS may be required.
One year+ experience in L&D or postpartum nursing.

Responsibilities

Continuously monitor maternal vital signs, contractions, fetal heart rate, and labor progress.
Guide mothers, provide pain relief, assist with interventions and prepare for childbirth.
Support physicians during vaginal and C-section deliveries and respond to emergencies.
Cares for mother and baby postpartum, educating on newborn care and breastfeeding.
Maintain accurate patient charts and records and document progress.
Prepare rooms and equipment for emergencies and ensure safety.
