Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Automation Integration Specialist to drive end-to-end automated workflows in Biotherapeutics Discovery Research. You will design, implement, and maintain orchestration across robotic scheduling, liquid handling, and data systems to enable reproducible science.

You will collaborate with scientists, automation engineers, and IT to translate workflows into scalable, digital-first solutions and ensure robust data connectivity, traceability, and system reliability

Qualifications

Must have project management experience leading large lab automation initiatives in pharma space.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain orchestration workflows for integrated automation platforms.
Develop and optimize scheduler-driven workflows coordinating robotic systems, liquid handlers, incubators, analytical instruments, and data systems.
Lead system integration efforts across hardware and software layers, ensuring robust and scalable orchestration architectures.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to deploy and enhance automation capabilities.
Develop, maintain, and optimize scripts across major liquid handling platforms including Hamilton, Tecan, Beckman Coulter, Opentrons.
Translate experimental protocols into robust, reusable automation methods.
Ensure method standardization, error handling, and data traceability across platforms.
