Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs consistently to ensure quality control.
• Perform QC testing of LAL reagents and environmental monitoring in formulation and clean rooms.
• Inspect raw materials, perform product release and stability testing as needed.
• Conduct microbiology bench work, EM, water testing, and maintain results records.
• Wear PPE and manage safety documentation (MSDS) as required.

Job description

Great opportunity for professional with a bachelor's degree in a scientific field and desire for working the biosciences industry. Wil be part of a team doing important work to keep medical devices and pharmaceuticals safe. This role will perform duties in Quality Control for LAL reagents. Will perform Quality checks, environmental monitoring in the formulation and clean rooms before, during, and after production. Will need to understand basic lab techniques, such as pipetting, aseptic techniques, SOPs, record retention, lab safety and shipping policies

Responsibilities

• Responsible for consistently following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform the QC testing of LAL reagent.
• Frequently responsible for the testing and inspecting raw materials, product release and stability testing, etc.
• Performs Environmental Monitoring in the Formulation and Clean Rooms before, during and after production.
• Microbiology bench work to include EM, water testing, spore strips and growth media testing (BS/BF, GPQ, etc.) Must be able to perform weekly tests, consistently use caution and follow procedure, easily interpret and comprehend results, and maintain records of results.
• Must be familiar with MSDS. Occasional exposure to hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and be capable of putting on gowns and PPE.

Required

• BS degree and/or equivalent experience in Biology, Chemistry or related discipline is required.
• This position requires a basic understanding of validation practices and controls and basic lab techniques.
• Individual must have the ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Employee should be detailed oriented and ability to multi-task.
