Job summary

Evotec in Redmond, WA is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Operations focusing on purification. This role supervises a 24/7 shift, with hands-on floor presence and deep expertise in purification processes for biotherapeutics.

You will drive cGMP documentation, troubleshooting, and staff training while supporting commissioning, validation, and technology transfer. The position requires a strong quality mindset, effective cross-functional leadership, and collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus 3 years manufacturing/operations experience or Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years manufacturing/operations experience.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements to ensure compliance.
• Experience in purification operations for biotherapeutics manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
• Ability to execute downstream technology strategies across bioreactor recovery, chromatography, impurity removal, viral inactivation, UF/DF, and sterile filtration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a shift to cover 24/7 operations with significant on-the-floor presence.
• Generate and maintain cGMP manufacturing and technical documentation; troubleshoot and lead investigations.
• Ensure staff training and compliance; support start-up commissioning and validation activities.
• Participate in technology transfer, process transfer, and CAPA activities as needed.
• Support regulatory/site inspections and input to department budgets and capital plans.
