Job summary

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a Process Development & Manufacturing Specialist II to join our team in San Diego. You will produce research and clinical grade components by setting up, cleaning, operating, and maintaining equipment, and performing wet chemistry reactions.

The role requires hands-on lab experience with HPLC purification, oligonucleotide synthesis, and mRNA workflows, plus strong documentation and SOP skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Science).
• 5+ years of industry experience in related field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience including HPLC purification and oligonucleotide/mRNA workflows.
• Experience drafting, editing, implementing and executing SOPs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Produce research and clinical grade components and products by setting up, cleaning, operating, and maintaining equipment; performing wet chemistry reactions.
• Draft, review, and implement SOPs; document actions in batch records following Good Documentation Practices.
• Lead and mentor new team members; train on new equipment and procedures.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment by following SOPs.
• Contribute to process improvements and technical transfer to manufacturing.
