Job summary

Fenwick & West seeks associates with two to four years of licensing, collaboration and commercial partnering transactions experience in life sciences technology. The ideal candidate has substantial law firm experience representing biotechs and big pharma licensing patents and collaborating to advance therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics and digital health through clinical trials toward FDA approval.

Knowledge of AI-native or AI-driven biotech companies and the ability to negotiate complex

Qualifications

2–4 years of licensing, collaboration and commercial partnering transactions experience.
Experience representing biotechs and big pharma licensing patents and collaborating to advance therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics and digital health.
Experience with AI-native or AI-driven biotech companies is a plus.
Bar admission in the state of the office or eligibility to sit/waive into the next bar exam.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

Negotiate standalone commercial transactions in life sciences technology.
Work closely with founders developing cutting-edge technologies and negotiate deals.
Collaborate with AI-enabled biotech companies to integrate AI/ML into development pipelines.
