Job summary

Avalyn Pharma is seeking an HR Manager or Sr. Manager to develop broad, cross-functional HR expertise rather than focusing on a single function. You will partner on recruiting, lead an intern program, and own compliance and HR operations in a small, collaborative team reporting to the VP, HR.

This role is ideal for an HR professional early-to-mid in their career who is curious, adaptable, and eager to build experience across the full employee lifecycle in a growing biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience including talent acquisition and HR operations.
• Curiosity to build expertise across multiple HR disciplines.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Greenhouse and/or ADP Workforce Now preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner on hiring strategies, manage candidate pipelines, and support offer development.
• Lead Avalyn's internship program design and execution.
• Own compliance tracking across federal, state, and multi-state laws.
• Manage leave administration, I-9s, background checks, and audits.
• Oversee HRIS and systems administration; improve processes and templates.
