Job summary

Guggenheim Securities seeks an exceptional candidate to join as a sell-side Equity Research Associate to cover the Biotechnology sector. The role involves following public/private biotech companies, supporting the research team in financial modeling, and making stock recommendations to institutional clients.

The position is based in New York or Boston with a hybrid schedule (in-office at least 4 days/week).

Qualifications

• PhD or higher in a life science field.
• Ability to search, understand, and interpret scientific publications.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Analyst with bottom-up biotech equity research.
• Build and update integrated financial and valuation models.
• Write research reports and present findings.
• Conduct primary research from industry sources (clinical data, industry trends).
• Organize physician calls for investors and investor events.
• Update analyst marketing handout regularly.
• Interact with institutional sales and investor clients.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding research findings and directives.
