Job summary

Bernstein, a premier equity research firm, seeks a Senior Research Associate to cover US Biotechnology in New York. You will work closely with a Senior Analyst to develop in-depth industry insights, build forward-looking models, and produce differentiated research.

You will forecast earnings, analyze stocks and industry themes, and build relationships with investors while advancing toward senior roles within Bernstein.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong quantitative skills and ability to work with data sets, including STEM undergraduate degrees

• Relevant professional experience (can include internships) in analysis, investment analysis, corporate strategy, consulting, finance, or a related field, including financial modeling experience
• Willingness to own work and maintain accountability

• Bachelor’s degree plus graduate degree (MBA, MA, PhD) or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Become an industry expert working one-on-one with a Senior Analyst who has 15 years of prior industry experience
• Become highly proficient at in-depth analysis of your companies, stocks, and industry themes
• Author highly differentiated written research that is famous for its deep industry insights and quantitative frameworks
• Become adept at financial forecasting, including building detailed forward-looking models
• Build strong relationships across the investing community including our sales and trading teams and institutional clients
• Build a network within your industry including senior managements of your companies
• Act as team COO and actively manage your franchise’s workflow
