Job summary

Bio-Techne in Wallingford, CT is seeking an Engineering & Equipment Technician to support the production of consumable micro-fluidic cartridges and capillary-based Western cartridges in a clean room environment.

The role requires troubleshooting and maintenance of automated and semi-automatic equipment, collaboration with production and engineering teams, and adherence to GMP/ISO guidelines. A technician with problem-solving skills and strong mechanical/electrical knowledge is ideal.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Electro‑Mechanical disciplines preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role
• Technical high school diploma required or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous operation of production equipment in cleanroom settings; troubleshoot and repair as needed
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment to prevent downtime
• Support creation/update of preventive maintenance procedures
• Communicate equipment status with operators and engineers
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
• Participate in validation of equipment modifications and testing
• Train personnel in setup, operation, and troubleshooting
• Provide maintenance records for audits
• Assist with building and facility equipment maintenance
• Adapt to day-to-day changes in work scope
• Possibility of extended hours and weekend coverage
