Bio is a decentralized science protocol supporting AI-driven biotech research and community value sharing. We seek a Science Community Lead to cultivate a vibrant scientific and biotech enthusiast community, focusing on Discord and events that facilitate collaboration.

You’ll host AMAs, journal clubs, and live sessions while shaping programming that keeps members engaged and connected to opportunities in the space.

Qualifications

• Candidate has demonstrated experience building and nurturing online scientific communities.
• Strong written communication with warm, human tone.
• Comfortable moderating conversations and managing multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage our Discord communities - creating channels, setting up bots, onboarding flows, and keeping conversations active
• Host community events like AMAs, journal clubs, voice chats, and Twitter/X Spaces
• Create programming that keeps members engaged and coming back
• Connect people - identify emerging voices and help members find collaborators
• Moderate discussions and maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment
• Track community health metrics and experiment with new formats to drive engagement
