Job summary
Formation Bio Inc., a Boston-based biotech company, is seeking a business development professional to build scientific and clinical rationales and develop compelling investment cases for novel drug ideas and targets. You will source opportunities, perform diligence, and help structure transactions to accelerate growth.
The role spans sourcing, diligence, strategy, and new company creation, contributing to Formation Bio’s mission to bring transformative therapies to patients faster and more
Qualifications
- 2-4 years in biotech/pharma strategy or consulting
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field
- Experience writing research reports or presentations
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial, strategic analysis and market research
- Model clinical development and potential revenue trajectories
- Source and evaluate novel drug development ideas and targets
- Review databases and reports to identify acquisition opportunities
- Construct persuasive investment theses with PowerPoint and Excel models
- Present theses to senior management and support negotiations
- Assist BD leadership on transactions through due diligence and closing
- Support AI-driven asset sourcing and diligence initiatives
