Job summary

Genalyte, Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks a hands-on Scientific Data Scientist/Biostatistician to provide statistical analysis of complex data sets to support development of new assays and validation of clinical data.

Proficiency in data analysis with a strong foundation in data validation, descriptive statistics, regression modeling and data visualization. At this time, we are seeking candidates with PhD or MS in a STEM field plus 2+ years of experience and strong Python/JMP skills; you will design

Qualifications

Ph.D. or M.S. in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related STEM field with 2+ years experience.
Advanced proficiency in Python or JMP and core scientific libraries.
Experience in statistical analysis, experiment design, regression, clustering, and predictive modeling.

Responsibilities

Design statistical analyses for complex datasets to support assay development.
Create data visualizations, dashboards and reports for diverse stakeholders.
Collaborate with wet-lab and R&D teams to translate biological questions into quantitative hypotheses.
Support regulatory submissions with data tables and summary analyses.
