Job summary

The University of Virginia's Department of Public Health Sciences seeks an Open Rank Professor of Biostatistics in the research faculty track (tenure‑ineligible). The successful candidate will lead biostatistical collaborations, teach graduate courses, and mentor students, residents and fellows. Administrative and service responsibilities are also expected.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in biostatistics or related field, collaborative research experience, and a record of peer‑reviewed

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Collaborative biomedical/clinical research experience.
• Peer‑reviewed publications in collaborative research.
• Graduate-level teaching experience.
• Experience with extramural NIH or similar funding at the co‑investigator level.

Responsibilities

• Lead biostatistical collaborations across projects.
• Teach graduate level biostatistics courses and mentor students, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to the department's research and educational missions.
• Participate in national and international professional organizations and service.
