Job summary

The University of Utah Data Coordinating Center (DCC) is seeking a biostatistician to join our collaborative, data driven team. The Utah DCC partners with investigators nationwide to provide data management, project management, and statistical expertise for large-scale multicenter research studies spanning a wide range of clinical and public health topics.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) plus 2 years of related work experience, or a master’s degree (or equivalent) with more experience.
• Strong programming ability in at least one statistical language (SAS or R) and experience with relational databases.
• Experience managing data and collaborating with multi-site teams on clinical/public health research.

Responsibilities

• Ensure statistical integrity of biomedical or clinical data.
• Design, model, and analyze studies.
• Produce statistics summaries and reports for product development.
• Program SAS, R, or Stata to support analyses.
• Interpret results for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with investigators and data managers across study stages.
• Maintain quality assurance and documentation for analytic work.
