Job summary

Avera Research Institute in Sioux Falls seeks a Biostatistician to apply advanced statistical methods to health outcomes data, contribute to study design, and prepare manuscripts and reports. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure rigorous analyses and timely delivery.

You will design analytical plans, perform analyses with SAS/SQL/R/Python, manage datasets, and present results to diverse audiences, while maintaining quality and confidentiality in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master's in Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related field plus 5 years of demonstrated experience.
• PhD Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing data from cross-sectional, case-control, nested case-control, case-cohort, longitudinal, and randomized controlled trials.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing data using linear and logistic regression, survival analysis and time series models.
• Proficiency and programming experience in SAS, SQL, R or Python.

Responsibilities

• Investigation and evaluation of complex data using appropriate methodologies.
• Ensure data integrity through data management, cleaning, and checks.
• Lead creation of data-related documents and tables; communicate with staff on data accuracy.
