- Independently provides statistical consultations or collaborations with clinical principal investigators.
- Includes developing the appropriate study design, determining the type of analysis for selected studies and designing appropriate methods of data collection, preparing publication quality graphics, and assisting in manuscript preparation as needed.
- Educates residents and staff on statistical techniques and methods of analysis.
- Acquires and installs upgrades and effectively uses the most current versions of the major statistical packages.
- Participates in research committees.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in biostatistics or a closely related field, required.
- Experience performing statistical analysis in a healthcare environment, 4 years required.
- Experience managing large datasets in a healthcare environment, required.
- Advanced proficiency with at least one major statistical software package (preferably SAS or R), required.
