A global leader in bioscience solutions seeks a dedicated Bioscience Account Manager for the San Diego and Arizona territories. This role focuses on driving sales growth, building customer relationships, and achieving targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in the Life Sciences industry and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibility:
• Identify and pursue new customer opportunities to drive business growth.
• Manage the buying process within strategic accounts to favor Greiner Bio-One products.
• Accelerate closure rates for existing opportunities.
• Achieve sales targets within the assigned territory.
• Implement growth programs with distribution partners.
• Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders (academic institutions, biotech, biopharma, healthcare professionals, distributors).
• Develop and maintain a Territory Sales Business Plan.
• Manage CRM database and forecast territory performance.
• Use consultative selling strategies to meet customer needs.
• Provide customer feedback to cross-functional teams.
• Manage the selling cycle to close new business.
• Maximize sales through distribution and direct sales.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts.
• Prioritize new product introductions to improve adoption and revenue.
• Act on marketing-qualified leads.
• Maintain technical knowledge of product lines and competitors.
• Develop account strategies based on value propositions.
Job Requirements:
• College degree (Life Sciences or Business preferred).
• Located in the San Diego and surrounding areas.
• 3-5+ years of successful sales experience (Life Sciences/Pharma/Biotech preferred).
• Proficient in distribution channel management.
• Proven sales achievements in relevant markets.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
• Strong motivation to win new business.
• Excellent communication and team interaction skills.
• Business insight into industry trends and challenges.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Remote position with 75%+ travel required.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Understanding of Miller Heiman or similar sales training is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions in the past five years.
• Maintain personal motor vehicle insurance at company-specified limits.
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly required to stand, sit, reach, bend and move about a facility.
• Some light physical effort required
• Ability to physically travel to customer sites with various schedules and possibly different time zones
