Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Support Technician to collect, process, and store biological specimens for laboratory testing and research. This role provides critical support while not performing hypothesis-based analysis.

You will follow established protocols, maintain accurate records, ensure proper labeling, and collaborate with researchers to facilitate timely specimen workflows in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science or equivalent certification and experience is required.
• Two years of laboratory research experience or equivalent is required.
• Coursework in anatomy, physiology, statistics, and relevant research methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects, processes, and stores biological specimens according to SOPs.
• Maintains accurate records of specimen collection, processing, and storage.
• Ensures proper labeling and tracking of specimens.
• Performs quality control checks on specimens.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Communicates with laboratory staff and researchers to ensure timely processing.
