Job summary

Precision For Medicine is seeking a Biorepository Technician I to assist in shipment receipt, sample retrieval and preservation. This full-time on-site role runs Tue–Sat, 7am–4pm, involving cold-chain handling and strict QA-compliant documentation.

Responsibilities include monitoring freezers, unpacking and labeling samples, updating records in the BSI system and preparing shipments for labs. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• Requires good attention to detail, excellent documentation skills and must work well in a group environment
• Familiarity with excel and basic functions with the program
• Must be a flexible agile team player who can change activities and directions quickly and respond to a variety of assignment and changing business needs

Responsibilities

• Monitor freezers, record temperatures and respond to alarms according to SOPs
• Receive biological samples, unpack, record information and create folders for paperwork
• Store samples at appropriate temperatures and verify shipments against packing lists
• Quarantine raw materials for QA release and verify contents
• Scan samples into the data management system and generate discrepancy reports
• Aliquot frozen specimens using aseptic technique and retrieve samples for shipment
• Prepare shipments, contact receiving labs and complete all necessary forms
