Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in Holly Springs, NC, is seeking a Laboratory Scientist/Engineer 2 to plan, execute, and troubleshoot bench-scale bioreactor studies (up to 5 L) and perform downstream purification. You will generate data packages to enable scale-up and tech transfer to manufacturing, and support bridging studies with internal and external partners.

Required: 2+ years in mammalian cell culture and chromatography, experience with ÄKTA/UNICORN, UF/DF, and statistics tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Biology, or related field.
2+ years of relevant industry experience in upstream mammalian cell culture and downstream purification.
Experience with chromatography skids and software (ÄKTA/UNICORN).
Experience with CHO or other mammalian cell lines.
UF/DF (TFF) experience with membranes and process optimization.
Experience with JMP/Minitab/Python and basic statistics.

Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and troubleshoot bench-scale Upstream mammalian cell culture studies.
Perform downstream purification including chromatography and UF/DF.
Generate data packages to enable scale-up and tech transfer.
Assist with bridging studies, satellite runs, and tech transfer activities.
Draft SOPs and contribute to CAPAs within the MSAT lab.
