Job summary

Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America, Inc. is offering an Engineering Intern opportunity in Glenview, IL. You will support design, development, testing, and qualification of specialized bioprocess equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration across engineering teams and vendors, and exposure to chromatography and virus filtration processes. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering field (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development, and assembly of custom manufacturing equipment.
• Support equipment testing, commissioning, validation, and FAT.
• Create and review technical drawings, specifications, test protocols, and user manuals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and customers throughout projects.
• Research new technologies and contribute to process improvements.
• Gain hands-on experience with chromatography, virus filtration, and biopharmaceutical equipment.
