Job summary

Takeda in Thousand Oaks, CA is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to join our production team in a state-of-the-art cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on experience in a controlled setting with strict GMP standards and routine cleanroom activities.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or entry-level professionals who are proactive, flexible, and eager to build a rewarding career in biotech through hands-on experience and adherence to GDP/GMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with zero years of experience.
• High school education required.
• No direct biotechnology experience required; willingness to learn GMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform process equipment cleaning and organization within the Pre-Viral department.
• Maintain Pre-Viral area housekeeping (per GMP compliance) such as cleaning walls, floors, doors, drains, windows, and other general surface areas.
• Empty trash containers and maintain an adequate amount of cleaning supplies.
• Perform removal of hazardous waste.
• Supports all local manufacturing operations.
• Supply components, small parts, tubing, etc.
• Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
• Manually clean all portable equipment, small parts, plastic tubing, and equipment.
• Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary.
• Manual 5 step cleaning & automated cleaning
• Details on the cleanings: chemicals used bleach, 500 ppm, liquinox
• Type of cleaning: cleaning small parts in a sink subjecting to different waters; mostly stainless steel parts
