Job summary

The University of Delaware, located in Newark, DE, seeks a Laboratory Equipment Manager for NIIMBL. Under the Laboratory Operations Manager, you will ensure capital assets and equipment are in good working order to support biopharmaceutical manufacturing research.

Responsibilities include inventory control, maintenance cost tracking, vendor coordination, and compliance with lab protocols while collaborating with PI`s and technical staff to support diverse analytics and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5 years of relevant experience managing, fixing, maintaining, and calibrating specialized laboratory equipment.
• Lab experience with instrument maintenance in a GxP environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates NIIMBL’s Core Values and aligns actions with Business Principles.
• Manage and track laboratory equipment inventory, including delivery, storage, location, and asset tags.
• Respond to building automation system alarms and track maintenance costs and service contracts.
• Update, archive protocols and manuals; develop equipment scheduling plans and calendars.
• Coordinate with vendors for service contracts, maintenance, and calibrations; support NIIMBL project teams.
