Job summary

Piper Health and Sciences is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Associate II to support downstream manufacturing in the Gaithersburg, MD area. You will operate and maintain downstream processing equipment, perform filtration and chromatography, and support production in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires GMP experience, familiarity with cGMP, and a Bachelor's degree in a science field. A strong emphasis on aseptic technique and documentation is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in GMP biotech/pharma
• 1+ year in downstream manufacturing
• Experience with chromatography, filtration, aseptic processing, TFF
• Experience working in a BSC
• Understanding of cGMP and GMP
• Bachelor’s degree in a science field

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing of drug product following GMP guidelines
• Prepare buffers and media for downstream processing
• Operate chromatography systems for protein purification
• Perform tangential flow filtration and viral filtration
• Conduct aseptic processing in a clean room
• Maintain documentation in GMP-compliant records
• Troubleshoot downstream processing equipment
