Job summary

Premise Health is looking for Biometric Health Screeners in Spokane, WA. This position offers flexibility, as-needed opportunities, and competitive pay. Responsibilities include performing biometric screenings and blood draws at local companies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, experience in phlebotomy, and must be available mostly during weekdays in the mornings. A High School Diploma or GED is required along with a current certification in phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• Completed a minimum of 200 successful venipunctures in the last year, preferably in the last 6 months.
• Must have morning availability from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record biometric testing results including weight, blood pressure, and BMI.
• Blood testing including fingerstick and/or venipuncture blood draws.
• Maintain logs and records for all laboratory transactions.

About the role

These positions are as-needed opportunities and offer flexibility in scheduling and highly competitive pay. We send you out to local companies within your area to perform biometric health screenings for the employees of the companies.

What would make you successful in this role? Strong customer service skills, previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience, ability to use manual blood pressure cuff, tech savvy and excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Blood testing including fingerstick and/or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment
• Preparation of specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw / biometric station(s)
• May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintains the logs and records for all Laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Must have morning availability (Monday-Friday) for event-based employment
• May require other duties as assigned

Required Experience/Availability

• Have completed a minimum of 200 successful venipunctures within the last year, preferably within the last 6 months and/or 100 fingersticks performed in the last year
• Able to use a manual blood pressure cuff with no assistance
• Must be available to work a PRN, event-driven position, mainly during the weekday mornings

Education

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:
• Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completed
• Active state specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA WA, and LA

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred
