Job summary

MultiMedical Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician for a part-time role in Brooklyn, NY. You will maintain, repair, and calibrate biomedical equipment to ensure patient safety and optimal performance.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in biomedical engineering or related field and at least 2 years of hospital experience, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Travel and flexible hours may be required; must pass background and drug screening.

Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team on a part-time basis in Brooklyn, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.

What you will do:

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on medical equipment

Safety Requirements:

• Maintain a safe working environment for self and others if they come in contact within the biomed area in accordance with the facility’s policies
• Must follow OSHA guidelines in regard to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, radiation, sharp instruments and/or tools, hazardous liquids, and operating devices
• Ontime completion of safety trainings assignments
• Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot & cold ranges of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish colors
• Must be able be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely
