Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Missouri is hiring a Biomedical Technician I to perform maintenance, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of medical instrumentation and systems. This onsite role supports the Medical Group and requires travel.

Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree in Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering or related field, and <2 years of experience. The team focuses on equipment planning and support across clinical settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred in Engineering/Biomed Eng/related.
• Experience: No Experience; <2 years preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, electrical safety inspections, and schedules repairs to correct failed equipment.
• Repairs and calibrates equipment and devices to original manufacturers’ specifications.
• Conducts analyses to identify symptoms, define problems, compare options, implement solutions, and evaluate results.
• Provides in-service education and customer service to staff on equipment operation and safety.
