Job summary

TRIMEDX is seeking an experienced biomedical equipment professional in Chicago to lead, advise, and shape clinical environments through expert equipment management. You will own complex devices, diagnose advanced issues, and guide clinicians on equipment use and strategy.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of biomedical experience, an electronics/technical degree, and a drive to mentor others. This role offers national opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and growth potential within a culture

Qualifications

• 5+ years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering setting (required).
• Strong expertise in complex systems, diagnostics, networking, and hardware repair.
• Associate degree in electronics/technical field or equivalent experience (required).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred); CBET certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of highly complex equipment—driving uptime, safety, and performance.
• Solve advanced technical issues others can’t, from system diagnostics to networked devices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clinicians and leadership on equipment use and strategy.
• Lead projects and mentor technicians, raising the capability of the entire team.

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering setting (required)

• Applicants can expect a compensation range of $33-$40 for this opportunity. This is the reasonable estimate that TRIMEDX believes it might pay for this particular job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. TRIMEDX may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
