Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose equipment, perform repairs and planned maintenance on basic biomedical devices. The role is on-site at the client location in San Antonio, TX, with relocation assistance provided.

You will maintain customer relationships, document actions, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while expanding technical knowledge through ongoing instruction.

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor degree or GEHC internship or Military externship program; OR HS diploma/GED with 2+ years servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues to customers clearly.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
• Background check and post-offer drug test are required; immunizations and other checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, evaluate basic biomedical equipment issues, implement repairs, and perform PM and safety inspections.
• May assist more experienced technicians on basic and more complex repairs.
• Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Document repair actions and submit reports according to schedule.
• Ensure care of spares, tools, and test equipment and maintain calibration.
