Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level Biomedical Equipment Service Assistant to support field technicians across the Southeast.

You will travel with technicians, prepare tools, assist with installations and maintenance, and help with receiving, testing, and repairs of medical equipment in hospitals and clinics. This role values dependable, hands-on learners who communicate professionally with customers and coworkers and are eager to develop technical skills toward independent service calls.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level; biomedical experience is not required
  • Mechanically or technically inclined
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Comfortable driving and traveling throughout the Southeast
  • Able to lift and move equipment with assistance
  • Comfortable working in hospitals, surgery centers, and other healthcare environments
  • Professional communication with customers and coworkers
  • Willingness to learn from experienced technicians
  • Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, HVAC, electrical work, electronics, mechanical equipment, military technical work, or similar hands-on fields is a plus
  • Willingness to develop technical skills and pursue a long-term career in biomedical equipment service

Responsibilities

  • Travel with and assist biomedical technicians on service calls and projects
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize tools and medical equipment
  • Assist with preventive maintenance inspections and equipment repairs
  • Help with equipment installations, removals, and replacements
  • Drive company vehicles between MARS and customer facilities
  • Pick up and deliver equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Prepare tools, parts, and equipment for upcoming service jobs
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the service area, shop, and company vehicles
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, testing, and preparing equipment
  • Learn to identify, inspect, troubleshoot, and service different types of medical equipment
  • Assist with office and service department tasks
  • Progress toward independently performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and service calls
