Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain medical equipment, perform repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance to safeguard patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities include electrical safety checks, Environment of Care compliance, and accurate maintenance documentation. Prior HTM experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Maintains and repairs medical equipment to ensure patient safety and accurate diagnoses.
• Ensures compliance with Environment of Care and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on biomedical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair devices to restore functionality.
• Document maintenance activity and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Engineering Required
• In lieu of degree, can have one of the following: Required
• Equivalent Military Biomed Tech Program or
• Two (2) years equivalent experience in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) field or
• Industry recognized Certification (AAMI / ACI CBET, CRES, CLES) or

Work Experience

• 2 years of HTM experience Required or
• In lieu of degree four (4) years of total experience Required
