United Regional in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking a BioMed Tech II to perform advanced inspection, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment, coordinate vendor service, and ensure regulatory compliance.
You will mentor junior technicians, document work, and participate in cost containment and resource management efforts within hospital and ambulatory settings.
The BioMed Tech II independently performs advanced inspection, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment, coordinates vendor service, and ensures regulatory compliance, service as a technical resource for the team.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Technician.
Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Adaptability to new technologies and willingness to learn emerging medical device platforms.
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, and bending during equipment service.
Ability to work in hospital and ambulatory clinic environments.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on medical equipment.
Coordinate vendor service and manage complex repairs.
Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other relevant standards.
Participate in project initiatives and lead small technical projects as assigned.
Mentors and trains junior technicians.
Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
Participate in cost containment and resource management efforts.
