Position Details

***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***

Responsibilities
  1. Manage operations of biomedical equipment, including maintenance, repairs, and safety testing, ensuring safe and correct use.
  2. Have additional training and experience repairing CT scanners and similar sophisticated equipment.
  3. Maintain current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  4. Work near patients without causing disturbance, as required.
  5. Document troubleshooting, work performed, and system or configuration changes.
  6. Participate in meetings and task forces to improve quality, communicate issues, and stay updated on new developments and policies.
  7. Adhere to the American Hospital Association's Bill of Rights for patients.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
  2. At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  3. Diploma, certificate, or associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Engineering. Military Biomedical Equipment Technician certifications (4A2X1, 68A, or HM-8478) also qualify.
  4. Experience repairing CT scanners and similar sophisticated equipment.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining professionalism.
  6. Proficiency with computers, office equipment, and MS Office.
  7. Flexibility to adapt to sudden changes and potential shift changes based on operational needs.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills for timely inquiries and responses.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • Work is typically performed in an interior/office environment.
  • Sitting and standing for prolonged periods may be required.
