***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel may be required.***

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the operations of biomedical equipment, including maintenance, repairs, and safety testing, ensuring safe and correct usage.
  2. Have additional training and experience in repairing CT scanners and similar sophisticated equipment.
  3. Maintain current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  4. Work near patients without causing disturbance, as required.
  5. Document trouble reports, work performed, and system or configuration changes.
  6. Participate in meetings and task forces to improve quality, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and stay updated on new developments and policies.
  7. Understand and practice the precepts of the American Hospital Association's Bill of Rights for patients.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
  2. At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  3. Diploma, certificate, or an associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Engineering; military training certifications (4A2X1, 68A, or HM-8478) are also acceptable.
  4. Experience in training and repairing CT scanners and similar equipment.
  5. Ability to work independently and in a team, maintaining professionalism.
  6. Proficiency with computers, office equipment, and MS Office products.
  7. Flexibility to adapt to sudden changes and potential shift changes based on operational needs.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries promptly.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
  • Work is typically performed in an interior/office environment.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing may be required.
