Qualifications

Job description

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is seeking a Biomedical Repair Technician (BMET) to provide research support administration services for our government customer in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities:
  1. Receive and account for equipment.
  2. Perform inventory and technical inspection of equipment.
  3. Conduct scheduled maintenance and servicing of equipment.
  4. Effect repairs on unserviceable equipment.
  5. Prepare unserviceable equipment for evacuation.
  6. Procure repair parts, consumables, and tools/equipment.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of the DoD Biomedical Equipment Technician program or an associate's degree in biomedical electronics technology from an accredited institution.
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES).
  • At least one year of experience in repair and maintenance of dental products and research-related equipment.
  • Ability to install, maintain, service, modify, troubleshoot, and calibrate environmental compliance devices by interpreting engineering and vendor documentation.
Citizenship and Clearance:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
