Job summary

Axle is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our team supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Hamilton, MT. The role involves performing lab support duties, managing glassware, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least two years of related experience. Benefits include PTO, 401(k) match, educational benefits, and flexible spending accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• Experience working in a complex, demanding and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Segregate, clean, process and return items to pickup shelves or stock shelves.
• Order and stock laboratory glassware and supplies.
• Clean and sterilize glassware and instruments; maintain labs.
• Perform QC for washed items and discard nonconforming items.
• Maintain daily logs and prepare reports for government representatives.
• Assist Media Lab with glassware and administrative tasks.
