Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Biomedical IoMT Specialist to support cybersecurity for medical and non-medical IoT devices. The role focuses on compliant device IT controls and incident response, partnering with multiple teams to strengthen our medical device security program.

The ideal candidate will have a 5-year healthcare IT/cybersecurity background, an associate degree in a related field, and willingness to travel for on-site support across Banner facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical/Clinical Engineering or related field, or equivalent.
• 5 years IT, Biomedical Engineering, and/or Cybersecurity experience in healthcare, with 3 years IT/Operations and 3 years Biomedical experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and be eligible for company auto insurance; travel to Banner facilities.

Responsibilities

• Support technical and inventory activities related to cybersecurity controls for medical and non-medical IoT devices.
• Build relationships with vendors, cybersecurity consultants, program leads, and system administrators.
• Coordinate with application owners to ensure medical device IT controls are compliant and functioning.
• Collaborate with HTM professionals to deliver a robust device security program.
• Review hardening guides and execute controls to reduce attack surfaces in device environments.
• Maintain and validate device/inventory records; travel within local and other markets as needed.
