Cybersecurity Business Systems Analyst II role at Banner Health

Overview

This position is responsible for delivering cybersecurity objectives to plan, design, develop, and implement efficient business, technical, financial, and operational practices or systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. The role involves gathering and analyzing data to support business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. It requires applying proven communication, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefit of cybersecurity practices and investments. The role supports internal and external customers with excellent service and aligns risk decisions with business and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Support process enhancement and redesign efforts to streamline cybersecurity delivery. Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and processes to develop strategies for improving, leveraging, consolidating, or decommissioning as appropriate.
  • Provide insight into the scope and parameters of required analysis to define outcome criteria and deliver measurable actions for daily work and projects.
  • Contribute to identifying key data points from raw data and generate information to create meaningful, actionable metrics at an executive level.
  • Support research efforts to make recommendations.
  • Operate in compliance with all federal, state, and local information security laws, rules, and guidelines. Remain current with the latest industry information.
  • Ability to work within procedures with minimal oversight and communicate effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Under general direction, be responsible for information security across multiple departments system-wide, requiring interaction at all staff and management levels.
Minimum Qualifications

Must possess strong knowledge of business, cybersecurity, information technology, and/or computer science as normally obtained through a bachelor’s degree. Certification may be required within one year in at least one of the following: CISSP, CISA, SSCP, PCI-ISA, CRISC, HCISSP, CompTIA Security+, or other certification designated by the Information Security Leader. Must have three years of experience in a healthcare or related environment or an equivalent combination of education, technical, business, and healthcare experience. Demonstrated expertise in information technology and healthcare, with experience in medium to large scale project planning and reporting. Requires strong communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to interact across facilities and levels. Availability to balance project workloads with customer support and on-call demands. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and related tools as required by position.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree may substitute for work experience. Additional related education and/or experience may be preferred as applicable to position.
