Job summary

TriMedx in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on complex medical imaging devices. You will ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and data integrity while coordinating with clinicians and service teams.

The role emphasizes customer relations, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with Medical Physicists. Travel may be required to client sites to complete service calls and inspections.

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical/electronics degree or equivalent experience.
  • TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical certification accepted.
  • Bachelor's in engineering technology preferred.
  • Technical Certification preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out performance verification inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on highly complex biomedical and medical imaging equipment
  • Repair, install, and calibrate highly complex biomedical and medical imaging equipment
  • Inform supervisors of repair status, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns
  • Direct and document subcontractor, vendor, and outside service technician activities
  • Lead or assist with Service Operations Special Projects
  • Travel to sites and/or work with Central Office associates to collect and analyze information and data
  • Respond to biomedical and medical imaging equipment service calls and requests
  • Triage service repair needs and communicate status internally and externally
  • Ensure equipment database accuracy and integrity
  • Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure service and documentation are complete, timely, and accurate
  • Work with Medical Physicists on radiation outputs for regulatory compliance and patient safety
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians
  • Serve as a TriMedx ambassador by integrating organizational core values into job performance
  • Inspect inventory status and maintain common-failure-parts inventory
  • Verify security analysis completion for new customer equipment
  • Perform incoming inspections for medical devices, including trial, rental, loaner, and evaluation equipment
  • Make inventory recommendations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • 2-year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required
  • Requirement waived for TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical-related certification program
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering technology preferred
  • Technical Certification preferred
  • Complex computer skills, including system administration, error-code interpretation, hard-drive defragmentation, power-supply replacement, computer-code interpretation, and networking concepts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, and networking applications required
  • Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Travel may be required based on customer or business needs
